I worked for four years as a web programmer for Alfred University. With undergraduate studies at Alfred complete, it is time to move on (to RIT, specifically). Now I am moving on to a variety of freelance web design opportunities. You can see some of my work here.

WebAppAdmin is a centralized database and management system for all of an organization’s back-end “admin sections”. A core mangement site allows admins to manage users/security and register web apps. A CFC-based API provides the tools to build new admin sections.

  • Redesigned entire site to complement a new printed brochure
  • Created original graphics and adapted brochure graphics
  • Reorganized content, wrote copyright and accessibility statements
  • Implemented a contact form in PHP
  • Validates as XHTML 1.0, CSS 2, and follows Section 508/WCAG guidelines.

  • Implemented using ColdFusion MX and SQL Server 2000
  • Fusebox 3 framework — architect and trainer
  • Created DTS packages to import user data from the University’ administrative system
  • Rebuilt the current weather box to use the NOAA weather web services
  • Built custom photo directory and general search engines using Verity and handwritten database queries
  • Implemented a generic statistical collection database and reporting application
  • Managed student programmers’ work on multiple maintenance and enhancement projects
