Mike Mertsock

Today is graduate school orientation at RIT, where I will begin study for a Master’s in computer science. I plan to take the thesis track and finish in a year. Not sure what to concentrate in, perhaps theory or distributed systems, or build my own based on web/distributed applications, software engineering, and usability. It may be interesting to study usability/accessibility at RIT, given the presence of the NTID.

Classes begin next Monday, on Labor Day. Might end up having to stay in temporary housing at the hotel, but the arrangements for students there sound very nice, and it’s just a bike ride away from campus.
