Chickweed (Stellaria media) is a wild edible plant often found in growing in sunny areas in the early spring. It grows in mats low to the ground. The flowers pictured here are 1/8" (4 cm) wide. The leaves, stems, and flowers are edible raw or cooked, and taste like corn silk.
